Three Boulder Oaks Golf members brave the weather
SWEEPS RESULTS
December 15: Bingo, Bango, Bongo.This day was rainy and windy, then it got cold. However, there were three members of the Boulder Oaks Women’s Club, Donna Williams, Sandra Watkins, and Ellen Koury who braved the weather and played fourteen holes. Then on Hole #15, the fog came in so thick they couldn’t see. Ellen Koury took all the money.
December 22: ONES. 1st place, Dorothy Aleshire, 2nd Place Donna Williams, 3rd Place, Mary Jo Moore.
December 29: Four Par.1st Place was Mary Jo Moore, 2nd place was Sandra Watkins and Bernie Munn placed third.
January 6: Rained Out.
January 13: Rained Out.
January 20: Rained Out AGAIN!! So we met for lunch just so we could remember what everyone looked like.
THIS AND THAT
The Most Improved player of the Month is Donna Williams, again!!, ho hum… Hopefully the rain will go away so we can play some golf and have something to report on next month.
A new member
Introducing Kathryn Christenson, our newest member to the Boulder Oaks Women’s Golf Club.
Kathryn was born and raised in Iowa. She has two grown sons. Her son Mark and his three daughters live in San Marcos. Her granddaughters are seven, nine and eleven. Her other son lives in Portland, OR. Kathryn moved to San Marcos to be near her grandchildren in 2013 after retiring from a very honorable profession as a teacher in the Chicago area. She also moved to California so she could play golf.
Kathryn continues her teaching as a volunteer tutor once a week. She is involved in bible study and a Life Group at her church. She enjoys not only playing golf, but also Zumba, Bridge and occasionally a game of Pickleball.
