Movie Night series begins in Hidden Meadows

Community
Audience starts arriving for the outdoor showing of Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone

by Lisa Wright

On June 17, an enthusiastic group of Hidden Meadows residents gathered on the lower patio of the Oaks Grill.  Armed with blankets and chairs, they sat out under the stars to enjoy the first in a series of outdoor movie nights sponsored by the Hidden Meadows Community Foundation.   The movie was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and the evening turned out to be a “magical” event for young and old alike.

A big thanks to the Oaks Grill for letting us use the patio and for offering a “Movie Night BBQ Special” on their menu that evening.

We encourage everyone to join us for Meadows Movie Nights, which will continue through the beginning of August.  Be sure to mark your calendars for the following showings:  July 8 for The Lego Batman; July 15 for Brave; July 29 for Moana; and August 5 for The Princess Bride.

Callie Garcia, a Harry Potter fan, wore her Gryffinder cloak to movie night.

There is no entrance fee for the movies, thanks to the Foundation’s sponsorship.  Donations to help offset the cost, however, are gratefully accepted.
